Guy Laflamme


laflammeGuy Laflamme specializes in marketing cultural, recreational and tourism products with 25 years experience in the field. He is Vice-President of National Programming, Communications and Marketing for the National Capital Commission (NCC). He is responsible for commemoration programs, visitor services, interpretation, all special events (Winterlude, Canada Day, Christmas Lights across Canada, Sound and Light Show.), as well as the promotion and strategic communication of all NCC activities in the national capital region. Previously, he was Director of Marketing, Communications and Customer Service, at the Casino Lac Leamy, an entertainment complex with annual revenues of over 100 million dollars. Radio-Canada and LeDroit named him “Personality of the Year, Social Community” in 2007 as a result of the project “Making Niger our business”. Mr. Laflamme received the prestigious Trudeau Medal in September 2005 from the faculty at the Telfer School of Management. In April 2004, he was voted Marketing-Communications Personality of the Year by “l ‘Association marketing de Montréal (AMM)”. He was selected tourism person of the year in 2000 for the Outaouais region and for Ottawa in 2002. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing concentration, from the University of Ottawa, as well as a graduate diploma in Commerce, Administration and Finance from the École supérieure de commerce in Grenoble. He has also completed a diploma in Broadcasting from the École des animateurs de radio-télévision in Quebec and holds diplomas in Pedagogy and in Geology from Laval University and the University of Ottawa, respectively. He has acted as host professor in an MBA program in Romania and at University Of Nevada.
